Transfer of Medical Records
If you choose to register with us, there are two ways we can obtain your pet's medical records. The most efficient method is for you, the owner, to contact your current vet and request that they transfer the records to us via email due to data consent regulations.
However, if you register with us online and do not provide your previous veterinarian's details, we will need to contact you to ask that you reach out to them. If you include your previous vet's information on the registration form, we can contact them directly. This will help us avoid unnecessary delays in providing your pet with routine or emergency treatment.
Get familiar with our practice location and parking.
Familiarise yourself with the location of our small animal hospital in Frome. This may not be your usual practice, but all emergency care is provided here. It would be beneficial for you to know exactly where we are situated in case the need arises.
Review Your Pet’s Health Plan
Each veterinary practice has its own healthcare plan, so these plans cannot be transferred from your existing vet to your new one. If your pet is enrolled in a health plan with another veterinary practice (not an insurance policy), it’s important to discuss any upcoming appointments, vaccinations, or treatments to ensure there are no gaps in your pet’s care.
The Garston Vets Wellness Plan is designed to cover all of your pet's preventative healthcare needs for a full year. With each membership, you can spread the cost of your pet's annual vaccinations, parasite control, and other healthcare needs over twelve affordable monthly payments.
