Puppy Parties - socialisation and puppy care advice

Early puppy socialisation is one of the most important factors in bringing up a balanced and well-behaved dog. That’s why we believe it’s so important to give your puppy an interactive start in life, which can only be helped by attending a Garston Vets Puppy Party. As well as helping your puppy have some fun in the presence of other dogs, we will also provide plenty of advice on early training techniques, games and expected puppy behaviours.

The classes are run by members of our experienced nursing team alongside our behaviourist Charis from Charismatic Pets in Warminster.

We can’t emphasise enough how important it is to get your puppy used to different sights, sounds, smells, and experiences during their key puppy socialisation period of 8-14 weeks.

Rearing a puppy with social skills is really important to reduce stress, promote healthy wellbeing, and a happy home-life. Having a well-mannered adult dog will also minimise anti-social issues when mixing with other people, animals, and unusual situations outside of your home.
