
Vicky graduated from Bristol University in 2008 and worked at Garston as a mixed equine and farm animal vet for several years. However, after starting a family she moved to the veterinary team at the Donkey Sanctuary for 4 years, caring for it’s many resident farm donkeys, and so has a special interest in these equines!
Moving closer to home she enjoyed a farm animal role at a practice in Wells before now returning to the Garston Equine Team again. Outside of work she is kept busy with her 2 children and husband’s dairy farm but also enjoys working her Labradors and growing cut flowers.

Kathryn graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2008. Following 9 years in equine practice in Somerset and the South West, she has joined Garston in 2020. Well known throughout the region both as a referral and first opinion vet, Kathryn has additional qualifications and Certificates in Advanced Veterinary Practice, Equine General Practice and Equine Dentistry bringing substantial technical and practical experience to the equine team.
She has interests in pre-purchase examinations, reproduction and medical cases and is currently studying advanced diagnostics and treatment of lameness. Her wide areas of knowledge and experience are highly valued by clients and colleagues alike.
Kathryn is a keen competitor and also an official in a number of equine disciplines including dressage, show jumping, eventing, endurance, hunting and Le Trec.

Kate started at Garston Vets in January 2019 as an LA Receptionist/Equine Assistant. In her spare time, Kate enjoys riding her horse Roxy – they particularly love going to Exmoor. Kate and her partner John have almost completed walking the South West Coast path and are planning to walk the Two Moors Way next year. If she isn’t wearing her riding or walking boots, Kate will be out at sea kayaking and snorkelling off our beautiful coastline.

Kate joined the practice in 2004 having graduated from Liverpool Veterinary School. She enjoys all aspects of equine veterinary work with a particular interest in corrective shoeing and AI. In her spare time, Kate rides her own horse in competitions or out on Salisbury Plain with her Border Collie running alongside.

Amy graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2010. Before joining Garston she worked for 2 years in mixed practice. After completing a 12-month equine internship at a leading equine hospital in South Wales, she spent 5 years at a large equine practice covering the South West.
Amy holds Certificates in Advanced Veterinary Practice and Equine Diagnostic Imaging. Amongst a large amount of technical experience her professional interests also include orthopaedics, imaging and dentistry.
Married to James one of the farm animal partners at Garston, they live in Bath with their son Felix and Labrador Pickles.

Sarah started working in veterinary practice in Bournemouth in 1995 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1998. She joined our practice in 2001 as Head Nurse, then progressed to Nurse Manager in 2011, and Marketing Manager in 2015. Sarah has always had a keen interest in client services, and is the main face behind our social media platforms and community events, gaining a few awards for the practice along the way. In her spare time she loves to visit a local nursing home with her Pets As Therapy dog, Watson.
