Steph joined the Garston team after leaving a successful career as a teacher of 17 years. She was looking for a change so that she could spend more time with her partner, two teenage children and her pets. Steph is an animal lover and grew up in South Africa volunteering at various charities from an early age. Steph has been a Garston client for many years and has always admired the professional and ‘family’ values that we portray, she said that ‘It is a privilege to work here and its certainly not a façade, everyone is welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly and they all really care for every animal that comes through the doors’.
Becky joined the Garston team in 2021, after spending several years as a Zookeeper at Longleat. She loves all animals, and is hopeful to become a veterinary nurse one day, specialising in exotics. She has a rescue cat called Poirot and a horse called Polo and usually spends her free time at gym, or snuggled up watching movies.
David joined the Garston reception team in 2021, with 18 years of customer service experience, which was gained as a retail manager and a call center operator. David lives’ in Trowbridge with his partner, 9year old son and 5 year old Alaskan Malamute called Popcorn. He enjoys spending time with my family, watching movies and going on long walks.
Harriet began working as a small animal receptionist here at Garston Vets in 2018, as she always wanted to work with animals since she was little. Harriet has recently moved over to the Large Animal and Equine department to be their Dispensary Coordinator. In her spare time she enjoys being out and about, exploring the countryside with her horses and Labrador running alongside.
Beth joined the Garston receptionist team in 2021 after deciding to finally pursue her passion of working in the veterinary industry, having worked in various customer service roles previously. She has always been an animal lover ,with horses being Beth’s main passion. She has a rabbit called Wilbur and a horse named Shadow, who she spends nearly all of her free time with! With any remaining free time, Beth also enjoys walking in the great outdoors as well as pilates and cycling.
Kate started at Garston Vets in January 2019 as an LA Receptionist/Equine Assistant. In her spare time, Kate enjoys riding her horse Roxy – they particularly love going to Exmoor. Kate and her partner John have almost completed walking the South West Coast path and are planning to walk the Two Moors Way next year. If she isn’t wearing her riding or walking boots, Kate will be out at sea kayaking and snorkelling off our beautiful coastline.
Starting in her teens, Claire worked with animals, but decided to qualify as a teaching assistant in 2003 when her children were of school age. In November 2014, she returned to a role working with animals when she joined our Large Animal reception team. In her spare time, Claire enjoys walking with her Jack Russell called Buster and riding her vintage Vespa scooter.
