COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – an update for our clients.

Becky Dewdney

Becky joined the Garston HR team in 2021 having previously worked in an administrative medical role. Becky is currently studying her English literature and language degree alongside her role and in her own time. Becky lives in Somerset with her family and two cats.

Charlotte Gee

Charlotte has been working in the HR Team since 2018 and gained her CIPD Associate status in 2020.  She worked at a corporate Law Firm for 11 years previously.  Charlotte lives locally with her young family and dog.

Victoria Cocks

Victoria completed an apprenticeship after finishing her A Levels and has an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, along with 8 years of office, admin and customer service experience. In her spare time she enjoys looking after and competing her two horses, Quiz and Fanta. Although the horses take up pretty much most of her spare time, Vicky also enjoys travelling and has solo travelled 7 European cities (and counting!).

Helen Fitter

Helen joined in 2021 and has over 20 years’ experience in supporting, manging and leading teams in customer service across finance, utilities and women’s shoes, she has over 200 pairs! She has also ran her own business as a publican for 6 years.  Helen grew up next to a farm and had many pets in childhood from chickens, Guinea pigs, cats & dogs and is looking forward to learning all about the veterinary business.

Chloe Hambling

Chloe studied for a National Diploma in Animal Management at Lackham College, having been interested in working with animals since she was a child. She joined the Wellness Team at Garston Vets in 2018 after working as an administrator for five years in the adult care sector. Chloe also assists our Marketing Manager with the running of our social media pages. She loves rabbits, Dalmatians, and Spaniels.

Amanda Westcott

After many years working in Occupational Pensions, Mandy decided that it was time for a change. She came to work at Garston in June 2018, taking care of the day to day running of our Wellness Plan. In her spare time, Mandy is a Homing and Welfare Officer for Frome & District Cats Protection and also love to attend Zumba classes to keep her fit.

Isabelle Appleton

Fizz (Isabelle) has been working in the Visual team since 2014 and works closely with our Marketing team organising promotions, events, and some of the lovely displays in the waiting rooms. Fizz worked at a national retail chain for six years previously, specialising in window displays and seasonal promotions. She lives locally and enjoys spending time with her young family.

Sarah Holmes RVN

Sarah started working in veterinary practice in Bournemouth in 1995 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1998. She joined our practice in 2001 as Head Nurse, then progressed to Nurse Manager in 2011, and Marketing Manager in 2015. Sarah has always had a keen interest in client services, and is the main face behind our social media platforms and community events, gaining a few awards for the practice along the way. In her spare time she loves to visit a local nursing home with her Pets As Therapy dog, Watson.

Laura Read FMAAT

Laura has worked for Garston Veterinary Group for over 18 years; passing her AAT exams she joined the team as their Finance Manager. As part of her role, Laura reports to the Partners on a monthly basis enabling them to be thinking about future plans. Laura is married to Sam and has two daughters, whom she loves to watch enjoying riding their ponies in her spare time. Laura tells us, if she’s really lucky, she also gets time to ride her horse called Bob.

Ciaran McHale

Ciaran joined the reception team in 2019 and became our practice administrator in 2021. He loves being outside, whether he’s in the garden or on a long walk with his pointer named Louis. He also loves hosting regular cheese & wine nights with friends.
