Dr. Andy Woodward BVetMed MANZCVS (Medicine of Cats) MRCVS (Cat Advocate)

Andy qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1994 and toiled through his first three years as a new graduate here at Garston Vets, before deciding to head ‘downunder’ to New Zealand initially, followed by 18 years in bayside Melbourne, Australia. His antipodean trip turned full circle when he returned to work full time at Garston Vets in July 2017. He is now the clinical director that oversees the Warminster and Westbury practices.

During his time in Melbourne, Andy focused his attention on domestic animal work and gained Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in the medicine of cats – a postgraduate qualification encouraged and recognised by the UK based International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) for entry into the ISFM Academy of Feline Practitioners. Although Andy obviously loves his cats, he also has a keen interest in all aspects of canine medicine, and having bred rabbits as a hobby as a teenager he still has a soft spot for bunnies!
