Our reception is your first point of contact with us and so we want to make it as easy and helpful as possible. Our receptionists are there to help, over the phone or in person and are fully trained so that they can give you all the advice you need.
Supported by our nurses they will be able to give you impartial and accurate information so that you can keep your pets in the best condition. We want to go that extra mile so that you know that your animals are getting the best care possible. All of our receptions have separate seating areas so that timid cats don't have to sit next to boisterous dogs or bouncing bunnies. In addition we have facilities for disabled clients at all of our surgeries.
Sandra Doughty (Trowbridge)
Sandra has worked for the practice for 7 years. Starting with the company as a relief receptionist, helping at all 3 sites, Sandra went on to work solely in the Warminster surgery before moving to Trowbridge as Head Receptionist in 2008. Sandra says that she finds her job challenging and rewarding and enjoys meeting clients and the various different pets they bring to us.
Sue Berry (Frome)
Before joining the practice Sue previously worked as a hairdresser. When her two daughters were older she decided to have a change and attended a "Skills for Business" course in Frome which included working with us for a week of work experience. Following this she was invited to work periodically and eventually become a permanent member of our reception staff.
Sue has now worked here for 10 years and says that she enjoys the varied work, meeting the clients and not least, seeing the animals. In April 2009 Sue was promoted to Head Receptionist and enjoys working with a great team.
Sheila Hewton (Warminster)
Sheila has worked at the practice in Warminster for 15 years. Originally working alongside the vets Gerry Benbow and Julian Porter, Sheila has seen lots of changes over the years including seeing the Warminster surgery double in size! She was made head of reception 11 years ago and loves all aspects of working on reception. In her spare time Sheila enjoys walking her 2 springer spaniels Senna & Schui and finds competing in agility with them great fun.
