Julian Porter

Julian graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1984. After a period of four years in mixed practice in the Midlands he moved to Frome. At this time he specialised in companion animal practice. After a gap year out of practice in 1990 he returned to Garston Veterinary Group. He became a partner in 1996 and is now responsible for the companion animal side of the practice in Warminster. His area of special interest is orthopaedics.






 

Sian Naylor

Sian qualified from Liverpool University 1992 and came to work at the practice in December 1994. She became a Senior Associate in 2013. Sian likes all aspects of veterinary work, but particularly enjoys meeting clients & their pets. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, her two fantastic cats and family time with her 2 young boys. They especially enjoy camping and other outdoor activities.






 

Mike Maguire

Mike graduated from Bristol in 2010. Following graduation he undertook a medical and surgical internship at the University of Bristol. During his time there he developed a keen interest in aneasthesia and analgesia. His interest now lies in managing chronic pain in cats and dogs. He has recently completed the ABVA foundation course in Veterinary Acupuncture.( See the fact sheet under our heading PETS for more information) In his spare time Mike enjoys speed skating and playing the harmonica. He currently lives with his cat Jack and two recently adopted kittens Riley and Joss!




 

Freja Dunnett

Freja graduated from Bristol vet school in 2013. She is originally from Suffolk and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery. Out of work, Freja enjoys supporting her favourite football team. She also has a black belt in Karate.
