I graduated from Bristol University in 2007 and came straight to Garston Veterinary Group to join the farm team.
As a student, many of my colleagues had seen practice with Garston so I knew the high esteem with which the practice was held and what a great opportunity it provided as a new graduate.
The Practice surpassed my expectations and from day one it was a welcoming and unbelievably supportive place to work. All the members of staff pulled together to work as a cohesive team that helped to coax me through my first couple of years as a vet. I have learnt so much during my time at Garston, from routine fertility work with cattle to the care of the animals at Longleat Safari Park.
I have always been allowed to progress at my own pace but with the reassuring safety net of a supportive team behind me ready to help whenever I have needed it. The development of my career has been fully supported with enrolment to complete my certificate on the clinical side and promotion to Large Animal Clinical Manager to further my skills in other areas of the business.
Garston Vets is a great place to work with no end of opportunities and support. I can’t wait to continue and further my career here.
